About us
The story:
Initially in 2008, we were a group of friends, young gardeners, bio amateurs. We reinvested a former "chènevière" (typical food garden) in Varennes in order to experience all the natural gardening techniques found in books and on the web, and also to pool resources and garden maintenance.
After a hailstorm that destroyed the garden, we did not lose courage, and in 2009 we founded NATUR'AILES, an association called "Act 1901", that is to say, a non-profit organization which is under the law of the 1st of July and the decree of August 16, 1901.
In the process, we have created an educational garden which is open to the public.
Since that time, NATUR'AILES evolved, some members left us, new reinforcements arrived (the team now has 8 people on the Board and a dozen volunteers) but the core values remain the same:
-popular environmental education
-social solidarity -economy
-rural alternative incubator
Our goals :
-attract the attention of the public on the environment and the richness of nature.
-get the public to reconnect with local farmers forgotten values, all through practice and the exchange of knowledge & expertise.
-unveil the world of bees and insects.
-show and explain the ecological gardening practices.
We regularly have workshops on:
-ecological gardening
-edible plants
-vegetarian / gluten free food
-aromatic plants
-pruning trees.
